Exploring the boundaries of metal fabrication and design since the early 1970s, Ira is a successful custom goldsmith, jeweler and an internationally recognized artist creating sculptural devices that are beautiful, technically ingenious, culturally challenging and intimately attached to the human experience. He is a founding chairperson of the Colorado Metalsmithing Association and a 20-year member of Society of North American Goldsmiths.
